Mother's Day

I know this post is a little late but I wanted to get it in anyway..

The Friday before we left for Florida Mica decided to take off work early and make a run to the mall to get me something for Mother's day, and surprise me with it that night before we left. This is totally not Mica because he is usually a last minute kind of guy so I was very shocked and very surprised and didn't expect anything from him nor did I even think about it with our trip being the next day. I have to say that this man did awesomely great!!! He know's I love purses and have since I was a little girl, and shoes.. what woman doesn't?!?

He brought home a cherry red Nino Bossi bag and flip flops that matched from Warrens.

I love you babe, thanks for thinking of me even with all the chaos of getting ready for our trip was going on .. Love you always!!

After the luau , Sea World was closed down, so we took advantage and was being silly .. Manta (coaster) behind Deric and Mica

This was taken before we entered inside for the Luau.. it was so fun and good!!

This ride, Manta is in Sea World. We also went over there, mainly for the Luau but Mica and Deric had to ride this.. you are literally strapped in to this coaster , dangling , looking down at the ground.. CRAZY!!

We had to stay one night at the Nick hotel just so Micayla could see what it was like there.. she loved it! This is in Orlando.. after the Nick hotel stay we headed over to our hotel on the property of Universal .. It was a beautiful polynesian stay..

This was a long and super fun vacation for our whole family.. I took tons of pictures and video of everything.. To sum up everywhere we went, here it is.. We did Destin, the beach.. and we did Orlando, including, Universal Studios/Islands of Adventure, Sea World, Downtown Disney, and the Nick hotel (all one huge play area).. HOW FUN !!!

When we first arrived at our hotel our room wasn't ready so we headed out the back doors onto the beach anyway~ Micayla was super excited because this was her first trip to the beach.. she was very giggly. It was funny!

Love Bug program

Today was Micayla's K-4 Love Bug program..
The songs were so sweet and they all did a great job!
The boys are in yellow because they are fire flies.. it was just too cute
Oh yeah, Micayla's line was "My ladybug's name is Lucy" :) Love it!

Counting down the days

We are leaving for Destin, and Orlando in 8 days !!! We are sooo excited!
It is definately a much needed and much wanted vacation by us all.
No, school is not out yet, but this is something we have done for several years now, is take the kids out of school for a week and come back and finish up the year... It helps beat the crowds and the major heat at the same time.
We are looking forward to spending time with just us, the sun , the beach, Universal, rollercoasters , games, swimming pools and lots of family fun!

Ever Wonder What You're Doing Wrong ?

It all started in March.. Micayla had pneumonia, then early April she had an upper respiratory infection and asthma issues, then she had a viral infection and still asthma junk going on.. and sky high fever.. then when I think she's getting better we wake up today with green drainage and an earache.. yes , all you mom's out there know what it means when your drainage is green.. we'll be at the doc today at 2.. I just thought we were getting better..
And then there's Deric, he has the flu and bronchitis.. Yes, he had the flu shot, but he has the "B" strain flu not "A" that he was given the shot for.. go figure! Thank the lord that his flu was caught in time to give him flu meds that would shorten the life of the junk.. I really think we have covered most every illness out there so does this mean that we'll be healthy the rest of the year ? :) I'm sure praying everyone is..

Easter and Baptism

Easter was extra special this year because Deric decided to be baptized after being saved at a Shiloh High School game. It was an away game and he and several of his friends were discussing being saved and everything that has to do with it and he decided to right then and there. It was in Prarie Grove (away game) by the way. We just praise God that at age 16 he has made such a huge decision to keep living for our Lord.
